Clinical aromatherapy is a natural, holistic and complementary therapy that can be used to support the body in a variety of ways. Essential oils can help our body positively affect the way we respond to stress and illness. They can greatly enhance our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
A clinical aromatherapy appointment does NOT include massage as the focus is on the aromatherapy essential oil products for you to use at home.
This type of appointment is often booked if you have a specific health complaint, or if you want bespoke aromatherapy blends made to use at home.
During the consultation we’ll chat and together decide on the best products for you. Whether you need to de-stress, relax, or have a specific illness you want to try and treat naturally. Then we will decide on the best way for you to use them. This may be a roller ball bottle, a cream, bath or shower gel or an aromastick inhaler.Essential oils have been shown to have many therapeutic benefits. Depending on their chemistry they may be: analgesic, soothing, antiseptic, antifungal, decongestant, antidepressant, stimulating, relaxing, anti-inflammatory to name a few.
It is important to say that aromatherapy is NOT a replacement for medical treatments and shouldn’t be used this way.
However, they are a useful addition to bring balance and harmony to your life and to enhance your overall wellbeing, and quality of life.
At the same time, they give an opportunity to explore complementary, holistic options for the symptoms you’d like to address.
A consultation sounds scary and intrusive. But it really isn’t that bad.
Firstly, I send you the form by email as it can take a little while to complete. But it benefits both of us if you put as much information on there as you can.
When you come to your appointment we chat through it all, very informally, and often the simple things we chat about lead to more useful information.
We then discuss what you would like to address with your aromatherapy and create your blends from there. What I blend for you is purely down to how you would like to use them at home: so for instance, you may be happy with a cream or an aromastick inhaler. Or you may like a shower gel or bath salts?
Whether you choose to book an Aromaflexology treatment or Aromatherapy Facial is up to you. They are different options available should you wish to enjoy a relaxing treatments at the same time.
Aromaflexology is a therapeutic practice that combines aromatherapy (the use of essential oils) with reflexology (a massage technique that applies pressure to specific points on the feet, hands, or ears)
The focus is on the therapeutic benefits of the essential oils but the combination of both techniques helps improve circulation, relieve tension, and restore balance in the body.
Essential oils are selected based on the individual’s needs (e.g., relaxation, pain relief, or energy boost). These oils are blended together into a balm to use on the feet.
Reflexology techniques stimulate reflex points that correspond to different organs and systems in the body, enhancing the benefits of the essential oils.Benefits of Aromaflexology
An aromatherapy facial is a skincare treatment that combines traditional facial techniques with the therapeutic benefits of essential oils. It is designed to nourish the skin, promote relaxation, and enhance overall well-being.
Because I am a qualified Clinical Aromatherapist I don’t have to use pre-blended products. After your consultation I will tailor the products to your skincare needs with a bespoke essential oil face mask.
